These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our platform, including our website and associated services such as expert consultations, Star Wish video requests, and group call functionalities. By accessing or using Star Connect, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before using our services.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StarConnect digital platform ("Platform" or "Service"), operated by StarConnect Limited, a company duly incorporated under the Companies Act, 1994 of Bangladesh.

By accessing, registering for, or using our Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Platform.


IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MINORS: Persons under 18 years of age may only use this Service under parental or guardian supervision and consent, in accordance with the Children Act, 2013 of Bangladesh.

Definitions

  • "Platform" means the StarConnect website, mobile applications, and all related digital services
  • "User" means any person who creates an account or uses the Platform
  • "Expert" means verified professionals offering consultation services through the Platform
  • "Session" means any form of interaction between Users and Experts via the Platform
  • "Content" means all information, data, text, messages, software, sound, photographs, graphics, video, or other materials
  • "Minor" means any person under the age of 18 years as defined under Bangladesh law
  • "Guardian" means a person having legal custody and control over a Minor

Legal Basis and Regulatory Compliance

3.2 Digital Service Provider Authorization

StarConnect is authorized to provide digital services under Section 47 of the Information and Communication Technology Act, 2006, and maintains all necessary regulatory approvals.

Eligibility and Registration

4.1 Age Requirements

Pursuant to the Digital Security Act, 2018 and Children Act, 2013:

  • Users 18 and above: May independently create accounts and access all Platform features
  • Users 13-17 years: May register with mandatory parental consent and enhanced safety measures
  • Users under 13: Registration requires special parental verification process

4.2 Legal Capacity

To use StarConnect, you must:

  • Have legal capacity to enter into contracts under the Contract Act, 1872
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Be a resident of Bangladesh or have valid authorization to use digital services in Bangladesh

4.3 Registration Process

All users must:

  • Provide valid mobile number and email address for verification
  • Accept these Terms and Privacy Policy
  • Complete identity verification as required by law
  • Maintain updated account information

4.4 Parental Consent for Minors

Under the Children Act, 2013, Minors must obtain verifiable parental consent including:

  • Parent/Guardian National ID verification
  • Signed consent form (digital or physical)
  • Contact verification of supervising parent/guardian
  • Agreement to monitoring provisions

Platform Services

5.1 Service Description

StarConnect provides the following services under our ICT Act authorization:

  • Video Consultation: Live video (one to one and group — up to 4 persons) call with verified experts
  • Text Communication: Secure chat services with experts
  • StarWish Service: Professional advice and personalized content requests (strictly professional and educational)
  • Booking System: Appointment scheduling with experts
  • Payment Processing: Secure digital payment services
  • Rating System: User feedback and review mechanisms

5.2 Expert Verification Process

In compliance with Bangladesh Bank KYC requirements and Digital Security Act:

For Experts:

  • National Identity Card (NID) verification (mandatory)
  • Professional credential verification
  • Police clearance certificate (where applicable)
  • Trade license verification (for business consultants)
  • Regular re-verification every 12 months

Legal Basis for Data Collection:

  • Section 54, Companies Act, 1994 (Service provider verification)
  • Bangladesh Bank Guidelines on Mobile Financial Services
  • Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2012 (Know Your Business Partner)
  • Digital Security Act, 2018 (Digital service provider requirements)

For Users:

  • Mobile number and Email verification (mandatory)

User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct

6.1 User Responsibilities

Users must:

  • Maintain confidentiality of account credentials
  • Use the Platform in accordance with Bangladesh laws
  • Provide accurate information during registration
  • Report suspicious or illegal activities within 3 days
  • Respect intellectual property rights of others

6.2 Prohibited Activities

Users are strictly prohibited from:

Criminal Activities (subject to Digital Security Act, 2018):

  • Sections 25, 28, 29: Unauthorized access, data theft, or system damage
  • Section 31: Spreading false information
  • Section 32: Breaching law and order through digital means

Content Violations:

  • Sharing obscene, defamatory, or harmful content (Pornography Control Act, 2012)
  • Copyright infringement (Copyright Act, 2000)
  • Harassment or cyberbullying (Digital Security Act, 2018)

Platform Misuse:

  • Unauthorized recording or distribution of sessions
  • Circumventing payment systems
  • Creating fake accounts or impersonation
  • Commercial use without authorization

Penalties: Violations may result in account termination and legal action under applicable Bangladesh laws.

Content Protection and Intellectual Property

7.1 Platform Intellectual Property

StarConnect owns all rights to:

  • Platform software and technology
  • Original content and materials
  • Trademarks and service marks
  • Database and user interface design

7.2 User-Generated Content

  • Users retain ownership of their original content
  • Users grant StarConnect non-exclusive license for Platform operations
  • Content must comply with Copyright Act, 2000

7.3 Unauthorized Recording Prohibition

STRICT PROHIBITION: Recording, screenshotting, or capturing any Platform content without written consent violates:

  • Copyright Act, 2000 (Sections 36-38)
  • Digital Security Act, 2018 (Sections 25, 28, 29)

Penalties include:

  • Immediate account termination
  • Legal action for copyright infringement
  • Criminal prosecution under Digital Security Act
  • Monetary damages as per law

Minor Protection Provisions

Payment Terms and Conditions

9.3 Payment Authorization for Minors

Refund and Cancellation Policy

  • Non-fulfillment within 2-3 days: Full refund
  • Inappropriate content delivery: Full refund

10.3 User-Initiated Cancellations

  • No refunds after service confirmation
  • No refunds for completed services
  • Exception: Services not meeting advertised standards

10.4 Dispute Resolution Process

  • Internal resolution within 15 days
  • Consumer court remedies available

Platform Availability and Modifications

12.1 Service Availability

  • Platform operational 24/7 with scheduled maintenance
  • Reasonable notice for significant updates
  • Temporary interruptions for security updates

12.2 Terms Modification Rights

StarConnect reserves the right to:

  • Modify Terms with 30 days' notice
  • Update Platform features and functionality
  • Adjust pricing with reasonable notice
  • Suspend services for legal compliance

Termination

13.1 User Termination Rights

  • Using Platform account deletion features
  • Physical notice to registered address

13.2 Platform Termination Grounds

  • Violation of these Terms

13.3 Effect of Termination

  • Immediate cessation of Platform access
  • Outstanding payment obligations remain valid

Liability and Disclaimers

14.1 Service Disclaimers

StarConnect provides Platform "as is" and disclaims warranties regarding:

  • Continuous service availability
  • Expert service quality or outcomes
  • Third-party service integrations
  • Force majeure events

14.2 Limitation of Liability

  • No liability for indirect or consequential damages
  • Total liability limited to fees paid in preceding 12 months
  • Users assume responsibility for expert selection
  • Force majeure events excuse performance

Exception: Limitations do not apply to gross negligence or willful misconduct as determined by competent courts.


14.3 Expert Service Disclaimer

  • Experts are independent service providers
  • Platform does not guarantee professional advice accuracy
  • No formal professional relationships created
  • Users should independently verify expert credentials

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

15.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, including but not limited to:

  • Contract Act, 1872
  • Companies Act, 1994
  • Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009
  • Arbitration Act, 2001

15.2 Jurisdiction

All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Miscellaneous Provisions

18.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and other referenced policies, constitute the complete agreement between users and StarConnect.


18.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.


18.3 Assignment

Users may not assign their rights under these Terms without written consent. StarConnect may assign its rights and obligations with 30 days' written notice to users.


18.4 Language

In case of any discrepancy between English and Bengali versions of these Terms, the English version shall prevail.


18.5 Electronic Communications

Users consent to receive communications electronically and acknowledge that electronic communications satisfy legal requirements for written communications.

By using StarConnect, you acknowledge that you have:

  • Read and understood these Terms and Conditions
  • Agreed to be bound by all provisions herein
  • Understood your rights and obligations under Bangladesh law

Legal Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability (Global)

Purpose. This Disclaimer clarifies that Star Connect is an intermediary marketplace connecting Users with independent Experts. Information shared on the Platform is for informational/educational/entertainment purposes and is not a substitute for licensed professional advice (medical, legal, financial, therapeutic). No formal professional-client relationship is created by Platform use.

Service Availability & Technical Limits. No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation; disruptions may occur due to maintenance, third-party failures, force majeure, cyber incidents, or government/legal actions. Users are responsible for compatible devices, security hygiene, and connectivity.

Liability Limits. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Star Connect is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, expert advice, cancellations, outages, breaches beyond reasonable control, third-party processor issues, or misuse of Platform information. Aggregate cap: the greater of fees paid in the prior 12 months or USD 100. Jurisdictional consumer protections (e.g., ACL in Australia/EU/UK) remain unaffected.

No Guarantee of Outcomes. Results vary; testimonials are not guarantees; Users must exercise judgment and seek licensed professionals where appropriate.

Medical/Mental Health. Not a medical or crisis service. In emergencies, contact local emergency numbers immediately.

Legal/Financial. Unless an Expert is duly licensed and operating within scope, content is not legal or financial advice. Verify licensure for jurisdiction-specific matters.

Third-Party Links & Payments. Star Connect is not responsible for third-party sites or payment processor errors; Users are subject to those providers’ terms.

IP & Indemnity. Platform IP remains Star Connect’s; Users indemnify Star Connect for claims arising from violations, misuse, or unlawful conduct.

Governing Law & Disputes. Region-specific governing law (Australia/Victoria, Bangladesh/Dhaka, UAE/Dubai) and stepwise process (negotiation → mediation → arbitration/litigation). Class-action waiver where permitted; limitation periods apply by jurisdiction. Force majeure recognized.

Expert User Agreement (Key Terms)

Effective: Sept 28, 2025 · Version: 2.0

Scope. Governs verified Experts’ participation on the Platform (experts, mentors, public figures). Experts agree to T&C, Privacy Policy, and DPA.

Eligibility & Verification. 18+, valid government ID, profession proof (license/certificates/portfolio), and video/digital verification. Star Connect may accept/reject/remove Experts for compliance or misconduct.

Expert Obligations. Provide lawful, ethical, timely services (calls, messages, Star Wish), maintain confidentiality, avoid false guarantees, no off-platform contact exchange, no illegal/explicit/abusive content, and no solicitation unrelated to Platform.

IP. Experts retain ownership of Expert Content; grant Star Connect a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display/distribute/promote within Platform/marketing with credit. Platform IP remains Star Connect’s.

Payments & Taxes. Payouts (biweekly/monthly) via supported channels; Star Connect service fees (typically 15–25%) and processor fees may apply. Experts are solely responsible for taxes and records. Refunds to Users for non-delivery/poor quality may be deducted from Expert earnings.

Privacy & Data. Handle user data under GDPR, APPs, UAE PDPL, and Bangladesh law; no disclosure beyond service scope. Breaches can trigger termination and legal action.

Termination. Expert may terminate with 14 days’ notice; Company may suspend/terminate for policy breaches, fraud, user complaints, or legal reasons. Settlements within ~30 days post adjustments.

Liability & Relationship. Liability cap: fees paid to Expert in last 12 months or AUD 100 (whichever greater). Experts are independent contractors; responsible for own taxes, insurance, licensing, and ethics.

Publicity. Star Connect may promote Expert profile/content; limited opt-out by written request.

Governing Law & Disputes. AU/Bangladesh/UAE laws; cross-border disputes via SIAC arbitration (Singapore).

Expert Code of Conduct & Community Standards (Summary)

Professional Integrity. Truthful representation, punctual delivery, respect for time, no exaggerated claims.

Respect & Inclusivity. Zero tolerance for harassment/discrimination; maintain positive, professional tone; avoid divisive topics unless relevant and handled objectively.

Privacy & Security. Keep all user data confidential; use only in-app channels; do not collect personal contact, passwords, or financial info; enable 2FA; report suspicious activity.

Content Standards. No explicit/violent/harmful/hate content; no misinformation; respect IP; no political campaigning/proselytizing/unrelated solicitations.

Pricing & Transactions. Fair pricing; payments only through Platform; transparent scope/turnaround; professional refund handling.

Scope & Disclaimers. Stay within verified expertise; use medical/financial/legal disclaimers where needed; prioritize user wellbeing; refer emergencies to local services.

Global Awareness. Cultural sensitivity, clear communication, accessibility.

Prohibited Conduct. Off-platform contact/payment, user abuse, illegal/fraudulent acts, system manipulation, impersonation. Consequences include suspension, removal, forfeiture, and legal action.

Reporting & Appeals. Report via compliance channels; impartial investigations; protection for good-faith reporters; appeal within 7 business days.

Continuous Improvement. Training, feedback, community contribution; updates with notice.

User Policy & Community Guidelines (Summary)

Safe & Responsible Use. Use for learning/mentorship/entertainment; be prepared; keep conversations professional; report issues in-app.

Payments & Refunds. All payments through approved gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, bKash, Nagad, cards, Apple/Google Pay). Refunds per T&C; 24+ hours cancellation = 100% refund; expert no-show = auto full refund + bonus credit; disputes to support.

Privacy & Data Rights. Strong passwords, 2FA; never share credentials. Rights to access/correct/delete/export/withdraw consent. Contact privacy@starconnect.com.

Minors. Parental consent and supervision required; age-appropriate content only; strict child-safety compliance (e.g., COPPA/UK AADC).

IP & Star Wish. Content is for personal, non-commercial use; no recording/distribution without written permission; unauthorized use may trigger legal action.

Reporting & Enforcement. In-app reporting or email to compliance; review within ~48 hours; actions range from warnings to termination/legal escalation; appeals supported.

Values & Updates. Respect, Integrity, Safety, Empathy, Inspiration. Updates communicated via date change and notices; governed by Victoria, Australia law alongside applicable international laws.

1.1 Truthfulness and Authenticity
Be truthful and authentic in all professional representations. Accurately represent your expertise, background, qualifications, experience, and credentials to all users.

1.2 Quality Delivery
Deliver high-quality services for every video call, message, or Star Wish. Commit to completing all bookings with care, professionalism, and punctuality.

1.3 Time and Commitment
Respect users’ time. Communicate clearly about availability, deliverables, and timelines. Honor all scheduled appointments and commitments.

1.4 Accuracy and Verification
Avoid misleading, false, exaggerated, or unverifiable claims. Do not provide advice or endorsements you cannot substantiate.

RESPECT AND INCLUSIVITY

2.1 Treat All Users with Dignity
Treat every user with kindness, empathy, and respect—regardless of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, or socioeconomic background.

2.2 Maintain a Positive Tone
Keep a professional, welcoming, and positive tone in every interaction.

2.3 Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Discrimination, hate speech, bullying, harassment, intimidation, or verbal abuse are strictly prohibited.

2.4 Avoid Divisive Topics
Avoid controversial political, religious, or personal topics unless directly relevant to your expertise and the user’s request; remain balanced and objective.

PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY

3.1 Data Protection
Keep all user information and communications strictly confidential. Do not share or redistribute any recordings, messages, identities, or sensitive data outside the Platform.

3.2 No Unauthorized Requests
Do not request personal contact info, passwords, PINs, financial details, or government IDs outside the secure Platform.

3.3 Secure Communication
Use only Star Connect’s secure in-platform channels for all interactions.

3.4 Personal Security
Protect your own accounts (strong passwords, 2FA) and report suspicious activity immediately.

CONTENT STANDARDS

4.1 Appropriateness and Professionalism
All shared content must be appropriate, professional, educational, and aligned with platform values.

4.2 Strict Prohibitions

  • Adult, explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive material
  • Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
  • Content promoting illegal activities or dangerous practices
  • Hate speech, slurs, or dehumanizing language
  • Misinformation, conspiracy theories, or scientifically false claims

4.3 Avoid Prohibited Activities
No political campaigning, religious proselytizing, recruitment, or unrelated commercial solicitation.

4.4 Intellectual Property Respect
Do not upload or share content you do not own or have permission to use.

FAIR PRICING AND TRANSPARENT TRANSACTIONS

5.1 Fair and Reasonable Pricing
Set fair prices reflecting expertise, qualifications, and market rates.

5.2 Platform-Only Payments
All payments must be processed exclusively through Star Connect.

5.3 Clear Communication
Be transparent about availability, scope, turnaround times, and limitations.

5.4 Professional Refund Handling
Handle refunds, cancellations, and disputes professionally and per policy.

EXPERTISE AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY

6.1 Scope of Expertise
Offer guidance only within your verified field and qualifications.

6.2 Medical, Financial, and Legal Disclaimers
Unless duly licensed, your content is educational/entertainment only and not professional medical/financial/legal advice.

6.3 User Wellbeing Priority
Prioritize user wellbeing and learning outcomes; refer out when beyond scope.

6.4 Emergency Situations
Direct users disclosing emergencies to local emergency services immediately.

CULTURAL SENSITIVITY AND GLOBAL AWARENESS

7.1 Embrace Diversity
Approach all interactions with cultural humility and respect.

7.2 Avoid Insensitive Content

INTRODUCTION

This Expert User Agreement ("Agreement") governs your participation as a verified expert, celebrity, mentor, or professional ("Expert," "you") on the Star Connect Platform ("Platform") operated by Star Connect Global Pty Ltd ("Company," "we," "our," "us").

By registering as an Expert, creating a profile, or offering services through Star Connect, you agree to the terms of this Agreement, the Star Connect Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Data Processing Addendum (DPA).

ELIGIBILITY AND VERIFICATION

To become an Expert on Star Connect, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding agreements
  • Provide accurate identity documents (passport, NID, or government-issued ID)
  • Submit proof of profession or credentials (license, certificate, portfolio, or recognition)
  • Complete video verification or digital consent form as requested by the compliance team

The Company reserves the right to accept, reject, or remove any Expert without prior notice for non-compliance or misconduct.

SERVICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 EXPERT OBLIGATIONS

  • Offer professional, ethical, and lawful services
  • Deliver all booked sessions, video messages (Star Wishes), and consultations in a timely manner
  • Maintain a respectful, non-discriminatory tone during all interactions
  • Keep all communications with users confidential and secure
  • Avoid making false claims, guarantees, or unverified statements

4.2 PROHIBITED CONDUCT

  • Share or request personal contact information outside the Platform
  • Engage in or promote explicit, abusive, or illegal content
  • Record, publish, or redistribute any user content without written consent
  • Use Star Connect to solicit donations, cryptocurrency, or unrelated commercial deals

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension, account termination, or legal action.

OWNERSHIP AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

5.1 EXPERT CONTENT

You retain ownership of the videos, text, and content you create ("Expert Content"). By uploading or sharing content on Star Connect, you grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Display, distribute, and promote your content within the Platform and marketing campaigns
  • Translate, adapt, or edit your content for promotional purposes (with proper credit attribution)

5.2 PLATFORM CONTENT

All branding, code, features, and design elements of the Star Connect Platform remain the exclusive property of Star Connect Global Pty Ltd. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or repurpose any Platform content without written permission.

PAYMENTS AND REVENUE SHARING

6.1 PAYMENT TERMS

Experts receive payment for completed and verified services (video calls, messages, Star Wishes, etc.). Payment processing occurs on a monthly or biweekly basis, depending on your region and agreement tier.

Star Connect may deduct applicable service fees (typically 15–25%), taxes, and transaction costs from gross earnings. Payouts are made via bank transfer, PayPal, or local payment gateways (such as bKash, Stripe, or Wise).

6.2 TAX RESPONSIBILITIES

Experts are solely responsible for reporting and paying their own income taxes, VAT/GST, or other applicable levies in their jurisdiction. Star Connect does not withhold taxes on behalf of Experts. You must maintain accurate records and comply with local tax authority requirements.

6.3 REFUND POLICY AND DEDUCTIONS

If a refund is issued to a user for non-delivery or poor-quality service, Star Connect reserves the right to deduct the refunded amount from the Expert's account balance or future earnings.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION

Experts agree to handle all user data in compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws, including:

  • GDPR (European Union)
  • Australian Privacy Principles (APPs)
  • UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) 2021
  • Bangladesh Data Protection Act (when enacted)

You shall not use, disclose, retain, or share user information beyond the scope of providing services on the Star Connect Platform. Breach of data privacy obligations may lead to immediate account termination and potential legal consequences.

TERM AND TERMINATION

8.1 AGREEMENT TERM
This Agreement remains effective as long as you maintain an active Expert account on the Star Connect Platform.

8.2 TERMINATION BY EXPERT
You may terminate your account at any time by providing 14 days' written notice to support@starconnect.com. Upon termination, your profile will be deactivated, and no new bookings will be accepted.

8.3 TERMINATION BY COMPANY

  • Breach of this Agreement or the Star Connect Terms & Conditions
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or unethical behavior
  • User complaints or ongoing misconduct investigations
  • Legal or regulatory compliance reasons
  • Violation of Platform safety policies

Upon termination, outstanding payments (after applicable fee adjustments and refunds) will be settled within 30 days.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Star Connect Global Pty Ltd, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Platform
  • Breach of this Agreement or any Star Connect policies
  • Any advice, claims, or actions performed in your capacity as an Expert
  • Infringement of intellectual property or other third-party rights through your Expert Content
  • Violations of applicable laws or regulations

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Star Connect Global Pty Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages
  • Loss of income or opportunity due to platform downtime or session cancellations
  • Third-party payment processor delays or processing errors
  • Account suspension or data loss resulting from security breaches

Total liability under this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount of fees paid to the Expert within the last 12 months or AUD $100, whichever is greater.

RELATIONSHIP OF THE PARTIES

Nothing in this Agreement creates an employer-employee, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship between you and Star Connect Global Pty Ltd.

Experts operate as independent contractors and are solely responsible for:

  • Calculating and paying their own income taxes and levies
  • Obtaining business insurance and professional indemnity coverage (where required)
  • Maintaining compliance with local business registration and licensing requirements
  • Managing their own professional standards and ethics

PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION

Star Connect may display your profile, image, name, or credentials for promotional purposes on:

  • Star Connect's official website, mobile applications, and social media channels
  • Partner platforms, marketing campaigns, and media materials
  • Testimonial videos or case studies (with reasonable notice)

You may request limited exclusion from public promotions in writing by contacting legal@starconnect.com. Reasonable requests will be honored within 10 business days.

GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions in which Star Connect operates:

  • For Australia-based Experts: Laws of the State of Victoria, Australia
  • For Bangladesh-based Experts: Laws of Bangladesh
  • For UAE-based Experts: Laws of the United Arab Emirates

International disputes and disputes between parties from different jurisdictions will be resolved through binding arbitration under the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Rules. The place of arbitration shall be Singapore.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This document, together with the Star Connect Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Data Processing Addendum (DPA), constitutes the complete and entire agreement between you and Star Connect Global Pty Ltd.

No verbal statements, prior agreements, or contemporaneous communications supersede this written contract. Any modifications to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Star Connect Global Pty Ltd.

ACCEPTANCE

By registering as an Expert on Star Connect, you acknowledge and confirm that you have:

  • Read, understood, and thoroughly reviewed this entire Agreement
  • Accepted your responsibilities and obligations as an independent professional
  • Consented to digital signing and electronic communication of this Agreement
  • Agreed to comply with all Star Connect policies and applicable laws

General Disclaimer

1.1 Nature of Services

Star Connect Global Pty Ltd operates a global digital platform designed to connect users with verified experts, mentors, professionals, and public figures worldwide (collectively, "Experts"). The Platform facilitates paid video calls, messaging, and personalized video content (Star Wish).

1.2 Informational Purposes Only

All information, advice, guidance, opinions, and content provided through the Platform are for:

  • Informational purposes
  • Educational purposes
  • Entertainment purposes
  • General guidance only

Such content should NOT be considered as:

  • Professional advice requiring licensure
  • Medical diagnosis or treatment
  • Legal counsel or representation
  • Financial or investment advice
  • Psychological or therapeutic counseling
  • A substitute for consultation with qualified licensed professionals

1.3 User Responsibility

  • How they interpret any information obtained through the Platform
  • Any actions taken based on Expert advice or content
  • Verifying the credentials and qualifications of Experts
  • Seeking appropriate professional advice when needed
  • Any consequences resulting from decisions made based on Platform interactions

1.4 No Professional Relationship

Use of the Platform does not establish any formal professional-client relationship (such as doctor-patient, attorney-client, or financial advisor-client) between Users and Experts unless explicitly stated otherwise by the Expert and agreed upon in writing outside the Platform.

Expert Independence and Responsibility

2.1 Independent Contractor Status

All Experts listed on Star Connect are independent contractors and are NOT:

  • Employees of Star Connect Global Pty Ltd
  • Agents or representatives of Star Connect
  • Acting on behalf of Star Connect
  • Subject to Star Connect's direction or control regarding the content of their advice

2.2 Expert Verification

  • Verification is conducted to the best of our ability
  • We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or currency of credentials
  • We are not responsible for verifying professional licensure or certifications
  • We do not endorse or warrant any Expert’s qualifications or recommendations

2.3 Expert Liability

  • Each Expert is solely responsible for their advice and services
  • They must maintain current credentials and comply with ethics
  • They are liable for representations made about their qualifications

2.4 User Due Diligence

  • Review Expert profiles thoroughly before booking
  • Verify credentials independently
  • Read reviews and ratings
  • Ask about qualifications during sessions
  • Seek second opinions where appropriate

2.5 Expert-User Interactions

All communications, transactions, or relationships between Users and Experts are conducted at the parties' discretion and risk. Star Connect is not responsible for such interactions except as required by safety policies.

Service Availability and Technical Limitations

3.1 Platform Availability

Star Connect strives to maintain continuous service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

3.2 Potential Service Interruptions

Disruptions may occur due to maintenance, emergency repairs, ISP failures, force majeure, or cyber incidents.

3.3 No Liability for Technical Issues

  • We are not liable for data loss, performance issues, or integration failures
  • Users are responsible for maintaining compatible devices and internet

3.4 User Technology Requirements

Users must ensure updated devices, browsers, and secure accounts for proper Platform functionality.

Limitation of Liability

4.1 Maximum Extent Permitted by Law

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Star Connect and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from Platform use.

4.2 Specific Exclusions

  • Advice or information provided by Experts
  • Cancelled or unfulfilled sessions
  • Service interruptions or technical failures
  • Unauthorized access or data breaches

4.3 Aggregate Liability Cap

Total liability shall not exceed the greater of fees paid by the User in the prior 12 months or USD $100.

4.4 Jurisdiction-Specific Provisions

These limitations apply subject to consumer protection laws in Australia, EU, and the UK.

No Guarantee of Results or Outcomes

Star Connect acts only as an intermediary platform and does not guarantee results, outcomes, or satisfaction with Expert advice. Users accept that results vary and remain responsible for implementing advice.

Medical and Health Disclaimers

6.1 Not Medical Advice

Star Connect is not a medical platform. Unless an Expert is licensed, advice must not be taken as diagnosis or treatment.

6.2 Emergency Situations

In case of medical emergencies, do not use Star Connect. Call local emergency numbers immediately.

6.3 Mental Health Considerations

Star Connect is not a crisis service. If in crisis, contact emergency services or local helplines (e.g., Lifeline Australia: 13 11 14).

Legal and Financial Disclaimers

Unless licensed, Experts’ content should not be taken as legal, financial, or investment advice. Users must verify credentials and consult licensed professionals for specialized matters.

Third-Party Links and Integrations

8.1 External Links

Star Connect is not responsible for third-party websites, content, or practices.

8.3 Payment Processors

We use trusted payment processors (Stripe, PayPal, bKash, etc.) but are not liable for processing errors or disputes.

Intellectual Property Notice

All Platform code, branding, and design belong to Star Connect. Users may not copy, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part. Expert content remains their property, licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.

Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Star Connect from all claims, damages, and liabilities arising from misuse of the Platform, violations of laws, or third-party rights infringement.

Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Jurisdiction-specific laws apply based on the user’s location (Victoria - Australia; Dhaka - Bangladesh; Dubai - UAE). Disputes follow a three-step process: negotiation → mediation → arbitration or litigation.

Force Majeure

Star Connect is not liable for failures due to natural disasters, wars, cyberattacks, or other uncontrollable events. Services will resume as soon as practicable.

Severability and Interpretation

If any clause is found invalid, it shall be modified or severed without affecting the remaining provisions. This Disclaimer, along with the Terms, Privacy Policy, and Guidelines, constitutes the entire agreement.

Updates and Amendments

Star Connect may update this Disclaimer periodically. Material changes will be notified via email and on-platform notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
